We arrived at Golden Gate Canyon State Park expecting an easy family hike and some beautiful fall colors. Instead, a crowded parking lot sent us down Mountain Lion Trail, where steep climbs, rocky terrain, and a toddler on our backs turned an ordinary Saturday into one of our most challenging Colorado adventures.

After more than a decade of creating content, much of what I know has become second nature. But when a friend began asking questions about my cameras, microphones, and creative decisions, I started reconsidering what expertise really means and whether knowing more always makes creating easier.

My daughter's fascination with animals brought us to a small farm in Erie, Colorado, for a Saturday morning of sheep, bunnies, chickens, and a very old tortoise. An hour of exploring became another reminder of just how quickly she's growing.
